Heene Community Association is a charitable organisation in Worthing.  As an organisation, we want to make it clear that we request the privacy of all individuals who use the Centre and are committed to safeguarding the privacy of your personal data.

How is your information used?

We use information held about you to respond to your enquiry from any contact form you may provide to us. 

Who has access to your information?

We will never sell or rent your information to third parties.  We will never share your information with third parties for marketing purposes. 

For regular hirers who use room hire on a regular basis, we will only disclose contact details supplied by yourself for advertising on the website, social media, notice boards and in the Activities Programme.

For all other hirers who have completed the booking forms for one-off bookings, such as parties or meetings, we store this information in the office and after your session has expired, we will shred your booking forms.

For members of the Centre who complete a small membership form, we store this information in the office in case we need to contact you regarding a cancelled class.  In the event of an accident, we also request a contact number for your Next of Kin; we will use that number to contact them on your behalf. 

We do not disclose member’s contact details out, including surnames, telephone numbers and addresses.  If another member requests your details, we always endeavour to contact you on their behalf.  If another member has a greeting card they wish to send to you, but are unsure of your address, we would post it on their behalf, without disclosing your details. 

Keeping your information secure

We are committed to safeguarding the privacy of your personal data. 

We also take further steps to keep your data secure and protect against unauthorised access including the use of Firewalls, Antivirus/Malware protection and blocking access to suspicious traffic. 

Data Retention

Financial Records are kept for as long as required under financial regulations, after which time we may delete such records, typically after seven years.

Advertising on Noticeboards: We reserve the right to remove your details, once you have stopped your classes here at Heene Community Centre.

Advertising in Activity Programme/Posters: We reserve the right to remove your details, once you have stopped your classes here at Heene Community Centre.
